On February 28, on a street in Melbourne, Florida, a driver failed to brake and hit a parked car at high speed, resulting in a tragedy.
Beauregarde McDonald told Storyful that he decided to take out his phone and start recording after seeing the green Tacoma in the video “pulling out his phone and almost hitting me and driving like a maniac.”
“I had a feeling something was going to happen, but I didn’t know it was going to be this,” McDonald said.

Dramatic footage shows the green pick-up truck overtaking McDonald’s and quickly catching up with a vehicle parked slightly ahead. The driver “kept accelerating until he tried to brake at the last second,” McDonald said, and video captured the force of the impact that sent the truck flying away.
Mr McDonald said the white car was “pretty dilapidated” and the driver and passengers were “in an absolute state of shock and in poor condition”.
