A fight broke out at Knott’s Berry Farm in Orange County on Saturday night when a customer allegedly tried to cut in line but was stopped by a worker, according to witnesses who documented the incident.

Video obtained by KTLA shows an argument between two guests and a security guard near the park’s outdoor entrance area as a crowd watches and cheers from behind a metal barricade. Several bystanders can be seen recording the scene on their cellphones.

An eyewitness said the incident happened on Saturday, January 17, when a guest tried to jump in the queue but was refused by a member of staff. As of Sunday afternoon, officials had not confirmed the information.

Witnesses said the situation escalated and the guest later punched a security guard, causing him to get a nosebleed.

Footage from the scene appeared to capture the moments after the conflict began. Two guests were seen – one of whom appeared to be trying to mediate between another guest and the security guard who had a nosebleed. Another guest managed to get around and punch the security guard, but was immediately tackled to the ground by the security guard as a nearby crowd began to cheer.

As the guard restrained the woman on the sidewalk and instructed her to put her hands behind her back, another guard stood nearby, monitoring the altercation and maintaining control of the area.

“Knott’s staff did an excellent job of de-escalating the situation and mitigating her trauma, and even though her nose was bleeding and she was being attacked by the lady, there was no pepper spray or violence and she quickly had her on the ground,” the witness said.

The video ends with the man still lying on the ground and security still on scene. Witnesses said that after the video ended, law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and handcuffed the two guests seen in the video.

In a statement provided to KTLA, Knott’s Berry Farm said it is “committed to providing a safe and orderly environment for all guests and will not tolerate inappropriate behavior.” The park said all guests are required to abide by its code of conduct to maintain a family-friendly environment and confirmed the Buena Park Police Department arrested two guests Saturday night for violating the policy.

The tourists were removed from the attraction for allegedly jumping in line, and the situation escalated into a physical altercation involving park staff and security guards. Both guests were arrested and removed from the park, officials said.
