Valley Central’s Sage Rieber defeated teammates Kadence Bresnick and Jillian Kendrick to win the all-around title at the Division 9 girls gymnastics championships.
Defending champion Valley Central won the team title with 165.375 points, ahead of Port Jervis (143.25), FD Roosevelt (128.025) and Kingston (143.25); Wallkill’s team was not complete.

District 9 teams selected for the state competition include Valley Central’s Sage Rieber, Jillian Kendrick, Kadence Breshick, Elyse Denolles and Leah Rieber; Kingston’s Estelle Sherron and Maggie Cullen; Wallkill’s Elizabeth Tansoch; Port Jervis’ Alexa Dobbs; and Roosevelt’s Kenzie Agnott.
The state competition will be held on Saturday, February 28, at Valley Gymnastics in Utica.
Sage Rieber placed first in the quadathlon with a score of 34.950, she won the vault (9.175) and uneven bars (8.5), tied for second on the balance beam (8.225) and was third on the floor exercise (9.05).
VC’s Kaedence Bresnick won the beam title (8.3) and Kendrick won the floor exercise title (9.375). Kendrick, last year’s division champion, is the top all-around player in Division 9 at the 2025 state meet.
