The UFC will kick off its new era with two numbered events in January with Paramount+ and CBS, the second of which will take place “Down Under” at UFC 325.
On January 31, at the Kudosbank Arena in Sydney, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will have a rematch with familiar opponent Diego Lopez to compete for his title. The two met for the first time at UFC 314 in April, with “The Great” winning a unanimous decision to claim the vacant belt left by Ilia Topuria.

It will be Volkanovski’s first appearance in his hometown in nearly three years and his first appearance in Sydney since November 2017. Will Volkanovski (27-4 MMA, 14-3 UFC) make a last ditch effort against Lopez (27-7 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who is hungry for revenge after bouncing back with a stellar performance by Jean Silva in September.
Promotions for UFC 325 are underway. Volkanovski and Lopez faced off during a seasonal press conference this month, and now the organization has released an official poster for the event, which features the champion looming over the challenger in a heavy green (via X):
