UCLA football will play its home game at the Rose Bowl in the new season.

The school has been exploring the possibility of leaving the iconic venue and playing its home games at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

The search for a new stadium led to a lawsuit filed against UCLA by the city of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl team.

The Bruins have an ongoing lease with the Rose Bowl, and UCLA may have to pay a hefty fine to terminate the lease and relocate to SoFi.

“Honestly, I wish there was something closer. I feel like, I only went to one game, and I feel like, I only went to one because it was so far away. So if it’s better, that would be great,” UCLA junior Erin Jahanpur said. “So, honestly, at this point, I don’t care where it is. They’re all far away. Obviously, I wish we had one on campus.”

UCLA officials released the following statement Saturday:

“UCLA will host its upcoming football season at the Rose Bowl. We know what game day means to the Bruins, and to our students, alumni and fans who work together to plan for Saturday’s fall games. Our top priority is to provide a great season experience for our student-athletes and our community, and our football program is strong. During an unprecedented time in the history of college sports, UCLA will always be guided by what is best for our student-athletes and the Bruins community.”
