David Beckham’s former assistant Rebecca Lowes has slammed his family feud with Victoria, saying ‘read the room’.
Rebecca Loos has revealed her former boss’s family issues, accusing Victoria Beckham of not “reading the room” at son Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.
“Any other mother would have looked at this room and understood it was embarrassing,” Rebecca, 48, told a new documentary, The Beckham Feud: Truths and Lies.
Brooklyn, 26, posted a series of explosive social media posts this month explaining his ruptured relationship with his parents and claiming Victoria, 51, “hijacked” his and Nicola, 31,’s first dance at their wedding reception and “very inappropriately danced on me in front of everyone.”
Rebecca added that she thought Victoria should refuse to dance after performer Marc Anthony called her on stage at the event.
“‘Thank you for the compliment, but the most beautiful woman in the room is Nicola,'” Rebecca suggested to Victoria. “‘Nicola, please do this dance.'”
She went on to argue that someone should have stopped Victoria from speaking.
“Or at least, if the mother had had too much to drink and couldn’t see clearly what was going on in the room, the husband or father might step in, grab Nicola, spin her around and then switch partners and make her dance,” Rebecca said.
The former assistant had claimed she was having an affair with David, 50, but he denied the allegation but did not take her to court. She declared that she believed Brooklyn’s accusation that his parents were primarily concerned with their public image.
“Brooklyn basically validates the inauthentic relationship, the promotional value, the endorsement above all else, and it’s all focused on the Beckham brand, and that’s all that matters,” she said.
