Two Nebraska volleyball players earned top position awards Friday. Bergen Reilly and Andi Jackson accepted the honor at the AVCA Awards Banquet in Kansas City. Riley was named setter of the year and Jackson was named middle blocker of the year. The AVCA Position Award is new this season.
Riley averaged 10.47 assists and 2.70 steals per game. She also totaled 73 kills, 67 blocks and 19 serves. The setter was named Big Ten Player of the Year, Big Ten Setter of the Year and AVCA First Team All-American. She was also a finalist for the AVCA Player of the Year.

Jackson averaged .467 with 2.74 kills per set, 1.12 blocks and 16 aces per set. Her .467 hitting percentage led the nation. The middle blocker was named to the AVCA All-American and All-Major teams for the second consecutive season. She was also an AVCA Player of the Year semifinalist.
Pitt’s Olivia Babock was named the AVCA Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. She was also named Villain of the Year. Wisconsin’s Mimi Coryell won the outside hitter of the year award and Iowa libero Rachel VanGorp was named libero of the year.
