TSSAA basketball triple-double among Ponce Law Girls Athlete of Week candidates

There were some big TSSAA basketball shows last week.

KB Burton, BGA: Burton scored 22 points in BGA’s 56-55 loss to FRA.

Peggy Morris, Brentwood: Morris hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 points in the team’s 53-40 loss to Nolensville.

Kaegan Young, Cascade: Young scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 steals in Cascade, helping Cascade defeat Loretto 51-49.

Anna Haskins, Community: Haskins scored 23 points in Community’s 59-47 loss to Summertown.

Kayla Varpness, DCA: Valpnes had 14 points, six assists and five steals in DCA’s 54-36 win over Friendship Christian.

Coralee Grove, Dickson County: Grove had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding two steals and an assist in a 50-44 loss to McEwan.

Molly Forrest, Franklin: Forrest scored 16 points and 14 rebounds to help the team defeat Columbia 45-42.

Milly Pardew, France: Pardue led FRA with 30 points in FRA’s 89-25 victory over Zion Christian.

Ava Jarrett, Lipscomb College: Western Carolina signee Jarrett reaches 1,000 pointsth He scored the highest score of his career with 29 points, including 7 three-pointers, helping the team defeat Pope John Paul II 68-35.

Nora Catbart, Santa Fe: Butt hit five three-pointers and scored 21 points in a 54-39 loss to Collingwood.

Willa Hughes, Zion Christian: Hughes had a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds in the team’s 59-49 loss to Franklin Christian. She also had a triple-double with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 12 steals in an 87-19 victory over Franklin Classical.
