Trump Blasts ‘Rotten Reporter’ After She Reminds Him His Own AG Contradicted His Election Claim

president Donald Trump A reporter called the reporter “rotten” Wednesday after pointing out that his former attorney general had refuted his claims of 2020 election fraud.

PBS talks to media outside the White House Liz Landers Trump was asked about the FBI’s subpoena to a grand jury seeking Arizona election records related to the investigation into the 2020 presidential election results. The FBI also recently seized records related to the 2020 election in Georgia.

“Sir, in Arizona, why is the FBI seizing election records in that state?” Landers asked Trump on Wednesday.

“Well, they probably think the election was rigged, right?” Trump responded.

Landers then reminded him Bill BarrHis former attorney general found no widespread fraud in the 2020 election that would have changed the outcome, despite the president’s long-held belief that there was fraud.

“However, it was not rigged,” Landers told the president.

“Oh, really? Who – how do you know?” Trump asked.

“Your own attorney general said in 2020 that there was no measurable voter fraud that would have changed the outcome of the election,” Landers said.

“You don’t think it’s rigged? I think it’s rigged!” Trump said.

“Sir, where is the evidence for this?” Landers asked.

“If you think it’s not rigged, you’re a bad reporter!” Trump said before continuing.

Trump previously endorsed Arizona News, calling it “awesome” on the “Truth Society.”

Trump and Barr have feuded over the former’s claims of election fraud. Barr told NBC News in 2022 that he confronted Trump about his claims and told him they were “bullshit” and that his team was wrong for peddling them. Barr said the president was outraged.

The president did win Barr’s support in 2024, but Barr responded by mocking Barr and saying he was “letting people down” by not properly investigating election fraud.

“Wow! Former Attorney General Bill Barr failed a lot of great people by not investigating voter fraud in our country, and even though I called him ‘weak, slow, lethargic, gutless and lazy’ (New York Post!), he just endorsed my campaign for president,” Trump posted on the Truth social network at the time. “Based on the fact that I deeply appreciate his wholehearted endorsement, I will be removing the word ‘sleepy’ from my statement.”
