Trump, 79, Hides Limp After Admitting to Health Concerns

Donald Trump may now have trouble walking on flat ground.

The president appeared to be hiding a slight limp as he walked with his wife, Melania, at Mar-a-Lago.

Fresh speculation about the 79-year-old’s health comes after he revealed in an interview that he had tried using compression stockings to relieve swollen ankles and makeup to cover bruises on his hands caused by taking high doses of aspirin every day.

In the video, Trump can be seen limping slightly as he enters the frame, but after taking a few steps, his gait becomes more steady before he and first lady Melania Trump pause to pose for photos.

Viewers were divided over whether the video showed the oldest president in U.S. history suffering from a new disease or whether it was no big deal.

“It’s obvious [sic] He dragged his right leg. If Biden did this, every news station would be playing this video about his health all day long. ” one skeptical viewer wrote on X.

“Honestly? It’s probably nothing,” said an unconvinced X user. “He knew the cameras were watching, so of course he made adjustments. Not every awkward step meant something was being hidden.”

The octogenarian president trudged down four small steps at Mar-a-Lago on Monday. He walked down the steps of Air Force One at a snail’s pace many times.

Over the years, he has also been photographed struggling to walk in a straight line in public and dragging his right leg.

Trump’s health concerns fueled growing speculation on Wednesday, with The Daily Beast first reporting on the issue.

These problems included persistent bruising on his hands, difficulty sleeping through the night, difficulty staying awake during the day, and chronic venous insufficiency that caused swelling in his ankles.

On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump personally called the publication to complain about its continued coverage of his health and to try to clear up some of the health mysteries that have dogged his second term.

Trump told the publication that he takes four times the usual dose of aspirin for “heart protection,” which is what caused the bruises on his hands.

Trump said the mysterious bruises on his hands were caused by the high doses of aspirin he takes every day.

The article did not address speculation about Trump’s slow gait. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the president’s access to Mar-a-Lago.

When The Daily Beast reported that Trump weaved between Marine One and Air Force One in September, White House communications director Steven Chang told the publication, “You must be blind or stupid because it was a perfect walk.”
