Jonathan Kuminga’s tenure with the Golden State Warriors appears to be coming to an end. The explosive forward is widely expected to be traded before the February 5 trade deadline. Kuminga has missed Golden State’s past 15 games, with head coach Steve Kerr opting to keep the former lottery pick out of the rotation despite being a member of the starting lineup to start the season.
Speculation continues to grow about Kuminga’s potential suitors and what kind of trade package the Golden State Warriors can expect. According to Danny Emmerman of the San Francisco Standard , interest in Kuminga is growing, with multiple teams already expressing interest in acquiring him.
“A league source said the market for Kuminga was heating up on Friday, with multiple teams showing varying interest,” Emerman reported. “The Kings, who were defeated by the Warriors on Friday, were among the teams that liked Kuminga.”
Of course, the more interest in Kuminga, the better for the Golden State Warriors. If multiple teams choose to pursue him, the Warriors could try to spark a bidding war, increasing the return they could receive in any potential trade package.

As things stand, however, there are no reports of Kuminga officially making a trade offer. However, that doesn’t mean conversations won’t continue and are expected to heat up as the trade deadline approaches.
