DENTON, Texas (AP) — Halle Timmer scored 23 points on 9-for-12 shooting, Akole Acott had a double-double and No. 24 Oklahoma State beat North Texas 73-55 on Wednesday night.
Jadyn Wooten came off the bench to score 15 points for the Cowgirls (9-1), who won their fourth straight game. Akot had 14 rebounds and Amari Whiting also scored 10 points. Whiting had nine rebounds.

Andi Schissler scored 12 points to lead the Mean Green (5-3).
The Cowgirls made 7 of 11 shots in the first quarter, 4 of 6 from beyond the arc, and made up for seven turnovers to lead 20-12. They also have a 13-3 edge in rebounding.
At halftime, Oklahoma State committed just one turnover but dropped its shooting percentage to 40%, extending its lead to 39-23. Green average is 4 out of 14.
North Texas scored 6 points in a row in the third quarter to chase the score to 39-29, but Micah Gray hit a three-pointer and scored 5 points in a row. Timmer scored twice in the paint, leading to an 11-4 climax, and soon led by 19 points again.
Oklahoma State made 6 three-pointers, shot 48% from the field, had +13 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers. North Texas shot 1-for-15 from 3-point range and shot 34% overall.
