Tiger Woods is back! Well…sort of. The 15-time major winner will play for his Jupiter Links Golf Club on Tuesday night on the final night of the TGL Indoor Golf League.
Maybe this is a one-time appearance that gives Woods a taste of competition and boosts TGL’s ratings. Perhaps this also indicates something more.
Woods has not played in an official golf tournament since the 2024 Open Championship nearly 20 months ago. He has endured a series of surgeries during his career, most recently on his back, and he recently suffered a torn ACL that has slowed his return to outdoor golf.

IMHO, the focus of the golf world is the Masters, two weeks from Thursday. Woods, a five-time Masters champion, has not yet said whether he will play in Augusta National. Since 2020, the Masters remains the only major that Woods has advanced to.
As far as TGL is concerned, Woods came on the scene at the last minute. Jupiter Links is one game behind in the best-of-three championship series with Los Angeles Golf Club. The Jupiter Links Golf Club team includes Woods, Max Homa and Tom Kim; Woods will replace Kevin Kisner. LAGC’s team includes Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Sahith Theegala.
Woods’ return will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET. If Jupiter Links wins that game, the final winner-take-all game will begin at 9 p.m.
