White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller On Tuesday, CBS offered to send a face-tattooed killer to the home of a CBS producer after CBS employees staged a “revolt” against the network’s decision to assassinate him. 60 minutes This is an episode about CECOT, a giant prison in El Salvador where the Trump administration has been deporting illegal immigrants with gang ties.
reaction to fox news Jesse Waters Primetime In response to CBS’s protest, Miller protested:
They tried to tell the tragic story of members of the Tron de Aragua gang, who drilled holes in people’s hands and raped and murdered little girls. This is the group that kidnapped, sexually assaulted and murdered Jocelyn Nugare. Remember her? That little 12-year-old girl from Texas who was taken from her mother and lived through horrors we can’t even imagine?
And these 60 Minutes producers, living in the comfort and safety of their West Side apartments, trying to make us sympathize with these monsters? Have you seen the tattoos on these killers, the tattoos on their faces, the tattoos on their bodies? If a “60 Minutes” producer or writer agreed to take 30 minutes – I’d make a deal. We will randomly pick someone to send to CECOT, just a random draw, and they will stay in your apartment overnight. Who took the deal on 60 Minutes? No one! Because they know these are monsters and they get what they deserve.
“We will not let little girls be raped and murdered again under President Trump,” he concluded, before urging CBS to fire and “purge” any staff members involved in the insurrection.
CBS News Editor-in-Chief Barry Weiss She reportedly explained to staff during a conference call this week why her network decided to soar 60 minutes‘CECOT section.
“I hosted a 60 Minutes story because it wasn’t ready,” she said. “While this story provides compelling evidence of torture at CECOT, it does not move forward.”
Weiss argued that “the public knows that Venezuelans are being treated horribly in this prison. To cover this subject two months later, we need to do more.”
The clip was leaked online after Weiss decided to add it.
