After sweeping Campbell in the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament and defeating TCU 3-1, the Texas A&M Aggies will play the Louisville Cardinals in the Sweet 16 on Friday night at John Cook Arena.
Led by head coach Jamie Morrison, the Maroons and Whites advance to their second straight Sweet 16 but against one of the most talented and deepest rosters in college volleyball. The Cardinals are headed all the way to the national championship game in 2024, with 11 players from last year’s Cardinals returning this season under Dan Meske. Louisville went 26-6 (16-4 ACC) in 2025 with a .272 hitting percentage, 13.69 kills per set and 3.10 blocks per set. Meske’s team has hit over .400 in both NCAA tournaments so far, which will provide a huge challenge for Texas A&M.

However, the Aggies are batting better than the Cardinals this season, hitting .297 in 29 games. Logan Lednicky played a huge role in Texas A&M’s dominance, finishing her college career fourth in school history with 1,617 kills. Ifenna Cos-Okpalla is the anchor in the middle for the Aggies, while Kyndal Stowers and Emily Hellmuth have also made huge contributions to the team’s deep playoff run.
