Suspects in Givot Bar infiltration, vandalism arrested in response to police raid in Tarabin

Before their arrest, it was reported that their actions at the Jivot pub were in response to a police raid in the nearby village of Tarabin.

Three suspects were arrested by Israeli police for their role in Friday’s infiltration and disruption of the Givot bar community, authorities announced Saturday.

Israeli police said the suspect was arrested within hours after sneaking into a Negev neighborhood on Friday night, smashing the windows of parked vehicles and setting multiple cars on fire.

According to Israeli media reports, prior to this incident, officers from the Rahat Police Department and members of the Sahar Brigade raided criminal targets in the nearby Bedouin village of Tarabin and arrested five suspects.

According to police, one officer was slightly injured during the operation. After the attack on Tarabin, and allegedly in response to the attack, two suspects, who are residents of the village, carried out what authorities described as a “revenge attack” that damaged “dozens of vehicles.”

Police said operations at Tarabin continued following these incidents, with suspects arrested for disorderly conduct and involvement in violence and forces conducting raids on other criminal targets.

During the infiltration into the Jivot bar, a resident told Vara that the men had invaded the settlement after digging a hole in the security fence.
