Super Bowl LX live updates, highlights: New England Patriots battle Seattle Seahawks

It’s almost time to be crowned an NFL champion.

After two weeks of hype and anticipation, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will square off on Sunday in Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium.

Can Derek Meyer and the Patriots (17-3) capture a seventh Lombardi Trophy? Or will Sam Darnold and the Seahawks (16-3) win their second?

This game features two stingy defenses, two balanced offenses, and two quarterbacks who took very different routes to get here.

The Seahawks have allowed the fewest points in the NFL and have great players at every level. The Patriots advance to the Super Bowl for a record 12th time as their defense has been dominant in the postseason, allowing just 8.7 points per game.

Meyer, 23, will become the second-youngest quarterback to start in a Super Bowl. His goal is to become the youngest winner.

The Patriots won six rings under coaches Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. Mike Vrabel, the Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year, has been a linebacker for three of those teams and is seeking his first as a head coach.

Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald is entering his second season and first with Darnold, who is on his fifth team in eight years in the NFL. The third overall pick in 2018 has finally found a home after being bounced around the league.

This is a repeat of the Super Bowl 11 years ago. Brady and the Patriots won the game 28-24 after Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson’s pass from the 1-yard line in the final minute.
