New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams found himself playing some defensive roles in Super Bowl X.
During the fourth quarter of the Patriots’ game against the Seattle Seahawks, a shirtless fan ran onto the field and dodged security to reach an empty field at Levi’s Stadium. Normally, players will ignore site intruders unless the person enters their personal space.

Williams had other ideas, chasing the man until he slipped to the ground like a quarterback. A group of security guards began to tackle him.
Williams, a third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Washington State, had 209 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie year and gained 290 yards on 11 kickoff returns.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, he ran a 4.40 40-yard dash, in case you’re wondering how fast that fan was running behind him.
The game brought some good luck to the Patriots, who trailed 19-0 in one of the worst offensive performances in Super Bowl history to date. New England quarterback Drake Maye caught wide receiver Mack Hollins for a 24-yard gain and then threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to ensure the Patriots would not become the first team to be eliminated from the Super Bowl.
