OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Gov. Kevin Stitt signed Executive Order 2026-11 on Friday, declaring a state of emergency in Alfafa, Okmulgee, Grant, Major, Creek, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner counties to ensure necessary resources can quickly reach Oklahomans following this week’s severe weather.

Stitt announced, in part:
“Oklahoma communities have been hit hard this week by dangerous, severe weather and tornadoes that claimed lives and caused property damage. To ensure Oklahomans have the resources they need to recover, I have declared a state of emergency,” said Governor Stitt.
“As we continue to address the ongoing risks of storm season, I encourage all Oklahomans to remain vigilant and prepared, follow local alerts, have a safety plan, and heed shelter warnings.”
