The Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers were reportedly scheduled to meet this weekend to discuss the 2026 season, but those intentions may have fallen through. General manager Omar Khan’s comments don’t help matters.
Khan appeared on the “You’re Better You Play” podcast and was asked about the recent rumors surrounding Rodgers, and his response did little to lead to belief that a meeting between the veteran quarterback and the Steelers is imminent.

“I don’t know exactly where Aaron is,” Khan said. “I can tell you, Aaron and I, and [Mike McCarthy] And Aaron, and Aaron’s representatives, we’ve had some good conversations since the end of the season, since Mike got here, and it’s been positive. But yeah, I don’t know where [Rodgers] Right now. We continued the conversation and they were very positive. We had a great experience with him last year. I thought he might repeat the same thing. You know, the conversation continues. “
If Khan’s ambiguous comments weren’t concerning enough, insider Mark Caboly also expressed doubts about the Steelers meeting with Aaron Rodgers this weekend, although initial reports suggested otherwise.
