Flyback Adam Hastings says Glasgow Warriors’ shock comeback against Toulouse in the Investec Champions League will do wonders for their confidence.
Franco Smith’s side looked set to suffer a heavy defeat, with the six-time European champions leading 21-0 at half-time.

The Warriors came out firing in the second half and turned the tide of the game on their head, unanswering four tries to secure what was arguably the greatest European victory in their history.
“It’s just mental,” Hastings, who was named man of the match, told BBC Scotland.
“for [the fans] To come out on a night like this and have a sold out show and then have it right behind us, it means the world.
“It’s also important for the mental aspect and the confidence we gain because we’ve taken a bit of a beating in Europe over the last few years and a statement like this turns out well, especially at home.”

Glasgow struggled to break into their own territory in the first half due to wind and rain at Scorston Stadium, with Antoine Dupont and Co. threatening to take away the game while Toulouse piled heavy pressure on Glasgow.
Despite this, Hastings insists there is belief that the Warriors can overturn a 21-point deficit, with Josh McKay’s try early in the second half igniting the comeback.
“The first half went into the wind and it was similar to sales [Sharks] Last week’s game. It’s just so hard to quit,” Hastings said.
“I think you saw that in the second half from Toulouse, how tough it was. At halftime, I think we just knew we had the wind and if we could gain a little territory and put a few phases together, that would be sweet.

“I thought from one to 23, we played really well tonight. The bench was hot as well, the speed they brought when they came in. Glad we hung in there at the end.”
