Sony is reportedly preparing to release a set of new color options for its PlayStation 5 peripherals. The DualSense Edge Wireless Controller, Pulse Elite Wireless Headphones, and Pulse Explore Wireless Earbuds will soon be available in black. These PS5 accessories are currently available in a default white color option. However, as part of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Series, the DualSense Edge also comes in gray.
PS5 accessories are said to get new colors
The information comes from reliable industry data miner billbil-kun, who claimed in a Dealabs report on Monday that Sony is preparing to launch the Edge controller and two new black Pulse series headphones. While details about the launch and release date of the new colorways are yet to be revealed, reports suggest that the peripheral could be released within a month.
According to reports, the black option of Sony’s Pro Controller and Pulse Headset will cost the same as the standard white version. In India, the DualSense Edge controller costs Rs. 18,990 while the Pulse Elite earphones and Pulse Explore earbuds are priced at Rs 18,990. 12,990 and Rs.18,990 respectively.
The report also states that Sony may be preparing to host an event in December, and the company may have teased the same. In its latest “Play Has No Limits” ad campaign video, the PlayStation parent company appears to be hiding a date pointing to December 3, 2024, which marks PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. The company may make some announcements at this time.
Earlier this month, Sony released new colors of PS5 peripherals and a limited-edition Fortnite controller. The Chroma range of accessories includes the DualSense controller and PS5 case, available in two new finishes – Chroma Indigo and Chroma Pearl.
Sony also launched its PlayStation Black Friday sale in India last week, offering discounts on PS5 consoles, PS VR2, DualSense controllers and 20 PlayStation games. The offer is valid till December 5 and comes with a discount of Rs. The PS5 slim sold 7,500 copies of both the disc and digital versions.
