Most areas will see 3 to 5 inches of snow over the weekend. Some quantities can easily reach a half-foot south and east of Pittsburgh. Isolated double-digit totals are possible on ridges in eastern Westmoreland and eastern Fayette counties, including ski resorts.

Wind chills will drop below freezing later tonight after the heavy snow passes, and could reach -10 degrees Sunday morning. Additionally, there will be lake effect snow showers on Sunday, especially north of Pittsburgh, with more accumulation expected given how cold it will be.
