Northstar Resort tragedy: Skier killed in Truckee skiing accident
(FOX40.COM) – A 26-year-old man from Los Angeles has died after a skiing accident at Northstar Ski Area, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
A spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office told Fox 40 that its coroner’s unit responded to the resort on Friday after receiving reports of a fatal skiing incident.

The skier, Nicholas Kenworthy, 26, of Los Angeles, was pronounced dead before a coroner arrived at the scene, officials said.
PCSO reports that no further details about the incident have been released as the investigation is ongoing.
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time,” PCSO said in a statement.
