Shiloh Hill And Sean Legacy Advance To WWE NXT Title Ladder Match

In addition to Ricky Saints, who has been announced for this match, the next two competitors to enter the six-man ladder match will be determined through two qualifying matches on “WWE NXT” to be crowned the new NXT Champion. Shiloh Hill and Sean Legacy will join the Saints in the upcoming championship game after defeating Josh Briggs and Eli Knight respectively.

Hill and Briggs competed in the first qualifying match of the night. The “WWE LFG” Season 2 Champion fought hard from the start and did his best to keep Briggs in trouble. Briggs slapped Hill, which only motivated him. Briggs drops Hill with a big boot and follows with a chokeslam, but Hill kicks out. Hill hits another boot and Briggs climbs on top, but Hill avoids the moonsault. The “LFG” winner hit a neckbreaker and earned a chance to advance. After the match, Tony DeAngelo appeared to take out both men with his own chokeslam.

The former “WWE EVOLVE” star and current “NXT” signee participated in the second qualifying match. Legacy and Knight were evenly matched for most of the game, and both offenses were outstanding, with the Saints beating Knight multiple times on commentary. Legacy hit a standing dropkick and then a 450 splash, but Knight kicked out. Knight knocked Legacy into the corner with a belly to belly and hit a standing moonsault after Legacy rolled off the top rope.

Legacy stood up and hit a second moonsault, then hit a Death Valley Driver/Neckbreaker combo to get Knight the win. DeAngelo showed up again, taking out two men and bouncing Legacy off the announce table in front of the Saints. The former “Don” was then arrested and removed from the ring by “NXT” general manager Ava’s security.
