The tension surrounding boxing surrounding Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson doesn’t stop inside the boxing ropes.
Instead, some of the loudest fireworks came from Shannon Briggs.

The former heavyweight champion, who is still acting like he’ll headline Madison Square Garden at any moment, found himself in a heated feud with a business associate of Houston tycoon J. Prince during a media interview captured by MRECK TV on David “Flat” Sparks’ podcast. Let Sparkz fly.

What started as small talk quickly turned into a confrontation.
Briggs made it clear he was in no mood for small talk.
“If you show your face, I will [mess] Get up. “You know this,” Briggs said during the exchange, “don’t play with me.”

The other man tried to lighten things up, but Briggs wouldn’t budge and repeatedly warned him to “watch your mouth.” Tensions escalated at one point, with people nearby stepping in to urge both sides to calm down before tensions spread.
After a while, the atmosphere changed and Briggs was back in promo mode like nothing happened.
“I’m with the champ,” someone said off-camera, eliciting a familiar reaction.
“Let’s go, champ,” Briggs replied.
When asked about Lopez’s matchup with Stevenson, Briggs analyzed the fight more from a technical perspective than a dramatic one.
“I don’t think they’re all big boxers, but their skills are crazy,” he said. “It’s going to be a real technical battle. I’ll tie it.”

This prediction is particularly striking given that large-scale battles rarely end this way.
Briggs also expressed love for the lower fighter on the card and predicted the fight would end soon. “First round knockout,” he said confidently, then laughed and said he just wanted an entertaining fight.
Briggs said that in addition to boxing, he is focused on business, including real estate projects and helping homeless families place themselves in apartments in Los Angeles. He also teased international adventures, mentioning a trip between Türkiye and Dubai.
Yes, he’s still thinking about lacing up his gloves again.
“I’m fighting Raging Jackson,” Briggs said. “Hopefully we’ll get a contract soon. First round.”
