TUCSON, Ariz. — Google Trends data observed by Fox News Digital appears to show that an internet user may have searched for Nancy Guthrie’s home address weeks before her suspected abduction.
She is the mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie, who has been missing for 18 days since her alleged abduction from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
Last week, the FBI released a description of the person seen in the 84-year-old’s doorbell camera footage on February 1, describing him as a man approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, carrying a 25-liter Ozark Trail brand backpack and other identifying items.

As the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and FBI continue to investigate the case, Fox News Digital was able to recreate a Google Trends report that appears to show searches for Nancy’s address and Savannah salary occurred before her disappearance.
They show possible activity originating in Arizona occurred between June 21 and 28, 2025, at Guthrie’s address in Catalina Foothills. This address may see activity again on January 11, 2026.

The Jan. 11 date also appeared in a message posted on the Ring camera app on Feb. 12 asking neighbors to share video from between 9 p.m. and midnight that day and the night of Jan. 31, when Guthrie was last seen missing.

A PCSD captain responded to the post asking users to look for verified posts from the department when submitting reports. Investigators are looking for home security videos recorded within a two-mile radius of Guthrie’s home between January 1 and February 2, according to officials.
“The Ring post… did not originate from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office. It was posted by a neighbor,” a sheriff’s spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “PCSD issued a request through the Neighbors app requesting video between January 1 and February 2.”
No suspects have been publicly identified, but investigators have detained several people and released them without charges, including a delivery driver from Rio de Janeiro who told Fox News he worked in Tucson but did not know whether he had delivered packages to the missing women’s homes.

Google may also have conducted separate image searches of Nancy’s address in Arizona, specifically looking for images or maps of houses, sometime between March 1-8, 2025, and November 30-December 1, 2025.
In addition to that address, “Savannah Guthrie’s Wage” may have been searched in Tucson sometime between December 13 and 20, 2025, in the days before Nancy disappeared.

By contrast, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, who grew up in New York, likely generated searches for “Anderson Cooper salary” in the New York area between March 29 and April 5, 2025. Fox News’ Sean Hannity also grew up in New York, and “Sean Hannity salary” may have also been searched between May 3 and 10, 2025.
“Google Trends is designed to understand trends in large data sets. For topics with low or no search volume, Google Trends graphs are often mixed with random noise to protect people’s privacy. This means that Google Trends graphs showing spikes in uncommon topics are not proof that searches actually occurred,” a Google spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
A person familiar with the matter also told Fox News Digital that law enforcement will use investigative tools such as subpoenas rather than public marketing information.
