The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have faced each other at least twice a year since the Seahawks realigned back into the NFC West in 2002, so it’s no surprise that there’s some bad blood between the two teams.

While the division rivals have already met twice this year, with each team winning one game, they meet again in the playoffs this weekend, with the winner advancing to the NFC Championship.

Ahead of the divisional round, Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed told reporters how he really feels about the 49ers, and he’s not holding back.

“First of all, we got a team we didn’t like,” Reed said. “Personally, I don’t like anything about them. We just have the opportunity to attack them again. We’re not going to do a lot of talking. We’re continuing the conversations we’ve had in the past. We know what’s at stake. They know what’s at stake. It’s about stepping out of those lines and going head-on, one-on-one, one-on-one.”

Several of Kyle Shanahan’s competitors may have felt this way, but the head coach tied all the talk back to promos seen in WWE.

“Yeah, I guess it’s like wrestling. Just fake entertainment,” Shanahan said. “If it distracts someone or makes them lose their preparation or whatever, or they lose their emotions during the game and they take things personal or whatever, then sure. But, I think everyone just had a good time.”

If the 49ers want to beat the Seahawks at Lumen Field and become just the third team in one game to play a Super Bowl at home, they need to seal the win and play as well as they can.
