The Seattle Seahawks were still celebrating their Super Bowl 60 victory on Sunday night. With the confetti falling and emotions running high, it’s easy for offensive coordinator Clint Kubiak to focus on the present, especially as he helps lead to success on football’s biggest stage.
But during the postgame celebrations, Kubiak didn’t shy away from revealing what happens next. In his post-win interview, the Seahawks head coach made his stance on the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching vacancy clear and talked about how he feels about taking on the position.

“You guys know I’m going to Las Vegas, so I’m excited about it,” Kubiak told NFL Network’s Stacey Dales, according to The Athletic. “But tonight, one more night — oh my God, I’m going. Of course I’m going.”
The Athletic reported last week that the Raiders will focus on Kubiak as their next head coach, with an official announcement not expected until after the Super Bowl. Seattle ultimately defeated the New England Patriots 29-13. But now, the offensive coordinator’s future is clear.
The situation mirrors what happened after the Philadelphia Eagles won last year’s Super Bowl. Their offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, was interested in the New Orleans Saints, and despite Nick Sirianni urging him to start over, Moore ultimately accepted the Saints head coaching job.

A similar situation is playing out now in Seattle. The Seattle Seahawks’ offensive coordinator, who helped guide Sam Darnold, Kenneth Walker III, Jaxon Smith-Ngiba and others to the Super Bowl, will not be with the team for the 2026 NFL season.
