Seahawks Jaxon Smith-Njigba being evaluated for a concussion in Super Bowl 2026

The Seattle Seahawks held a double-digit lead over the New England Patriots in the second half of Super Bowl LX, a gap that was nearly insurmountable for New England considering how poorly their offense had performed so far in the game.

On the other side of the ball, however, the Seahawks offense didn’t quite hit the ground running, with Jason Myers allowing just four field goals in nearly three-quarters of the game.

With that in mind, and the fact that Seattle will likely need a big performance from one of its offensive stars to keep the ball and the lead, the possibility of losing Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the 2025 NFL Offensive Player of the Year and the league leader in receiving yards, looms large. Shortly after resolving a foot issue on the sideline, JSN went into the blue medical ten on the sideline for an injury evaluation.
