Roman Reigns Eliminates Gunther To Win 2026 WWE Men’s Royal Rumble

Roman Reigns won the main event of the 2026 WWE Men’s Royal Rumble on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Reigns returns as entrant No. 26, making his first appearance since losing to Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and The Uso Brothers at Survivor Series: War Games last November. In the ring, he encountered Jey Uso and motioned to his cousin to let him in from behind, but when the music started, he started off guard. Reigns and Rhodes then faced off before resuming their rivalry in the ring. Jacob Fatu joined the melee with his rival and cousin, only to be eliminated by Reigns.

Reigns joined Gunther, Logan Paul and Randy Orton in the Final Four, with Gunther and Orton feuding while Reigns was paired with Paul. Reigns knocked Paul to the ground, but was RKOed by Orton; then Orton was eliminated by Gunther, leaving only “Ring General” and “Tribal Chief” as the last two.

Gunther tightens the sleeper hold and tries to incapacitate Reigns in the center of the ring for elimination, then gets speared and thrown over the top rope, giving Reigns the win.

Reigns won the title for the first time in 11 years since winning his first Royal Rumble in 2015. He took advantage of the subsequent WrestleMania event to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 31, although he did not eliminate the winner that night.

This will be his seventh consecutive WrestleMania main event, having previously dominated the Saturday and Sunday events in 2024.
