With the Golden State Warriors finding an answer at a key position off the bench and Steve Kerr set to be head coach in 2026-27, the Philadelphia 76ers will now face the question of finding a key role in the front office.
After being swept by the New York Knicks in the second round of the playoffs, the 76ers decided to part ways with longtime president of basketball operations Daryl Morey. Before his time in Philadelphia was over, Morey attempted to trade multiple players, one of whom was a member of the Warriors.

According to Adam Aaronson of the Philly Voice, Morey and the 76ers attempted to trade Warriors third-year guard Brandin Pozzimski, but were unsuccessful. According to Aaronson, in addition to Podzimski, the 76ers have also made trade offers to Dallas Mavericks forward Najee Marshall, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo and Phoenix Suns wing Ryan Dunn.
It’s unclear what the Sixers offered the Warriors the former first-round pick. The 76ers ultimately did not make any major moves before the NBA trade deadline.
Podemski just completed his third season in the association, playing in all 82 games. The former Santa Clara Bronco is averaging 13.8 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field and 37.1 percent from beyond the arc, while averaging 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
