The G League’s Oklahoma Blue lost 117-110 to the Stockton Kings on Sunday, but their comeback attempt failed. The road loss dropped their regular season record to 2-10.
Early on, it was more of a normal thing. After the first quarter, the Blues trailed 21-25. Things only got worse from that point on. In the second game, they breathed a little sigh of relief and only scored 27 points. This left them trailing the Kings 61-48 at halftime.

The story after the break is much the same. The Blues scored 28 points in the third quarter, but the defense could not contain Stockton. They trailed by as many as 26 points in the final seconds. They exited trailing 98-76. It feels like it’s almost over.
But the Blues had one final point left. They started the fourth quarter with an 18-6 run to make the game a little interesting. We were down 104-98 with five minutes left in the game and all of a sudden we had one game left. Four minutes later, the Thunder led 110-106 with 51 seconds left. We’re officially entering crunch time, which is a crazy development considering how the game has played out over the first three quarters.
Unfortunately, the Kings hit a jump shot from the outside and finally got this one back with a few free throws. The blue team scored 34 points in the last game, but completed a 26-point reversal with limited time.
The Blues shot 48% from the field and 13 of 33 (39.4%) from three-point range. Made 6 of 10 free throws. They made 43 shots and had 25 assists. Six Blue Team players scored in double figures.
