Real Madrid target facing uncertain future at Liverpool – “No negotiations to renew his contract”

Real Madrid are hoping to sign a midfielder this summer and although it won’t be Rodri Hernandez, the player could still come from the Premier League. Adam Wharton has been named as a target, while speculation has grown over recent weeks over a potential move for Alexis Mac Allister.

At Anfield, there are growing concerns about McAllister’s future as a Liverpool player. He is entering the final two years of his current contract but as a new deal has yet to be agreed there is a chance he could be put on the market.

Mike Allister’s father confirms Liverpool contract situation

Real Madrid will consider whether to bring in Mike Allister before the summer, but in the meantime, the World Cup winner’s father has confirmed to Win Win (via MD) that there will be no talks with Liverpool.

“There are currently no contract extension talks with Liverpool.”

Real Madrid could make a move if Liverpool and Mike Allister don’t agree a contract extension before the summer. They have previously agreed cut-price deals for Anfield stars, most notably Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined in 2025 after refusing to sign a new contract.

Mike Allister would be a good addition to Real Madrid’s midfield, although there are doubts whether he is the ideal fit for what the Bernabeu needs. What Alvaro Arbeloa’s side need more than anything is a Kroos-style game controller, and that’s not the case for the Argentina international.

It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid step up their plans to sign Mike Allister as the summer approaches. Right now, he appears to be an option, but the same applies to fellow midfielders Vitinha, Keith Smit and Walton.
