On Sunday we enjoyed a modern version of Robert Louis Stevenson The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. One minute, Baltimore was scoring at will, unable to stop anyone. The next minute, their defense was elite, but their offense struggled. Don’t look now, the Ravens appear to be a better team on the road than at home.
On Thanksgiving Day, Baltimore lost to the Cincinnati Bengals by 18 points. Seventeen days later, they beat the Bengals by 24 points and didn’t allow them a single point. Confused? So did everyone else, but here comes the story. The Ravens’ second game against the Bengals this season provided some drama.
The Ravens must move away from their Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde roles at the start of the game against the Patriots.
We’re in the fourth quarter and the Bengals are on offense. A Ravens victory seemed inevitable. The only question or drama in this one is whether they will keep the lockdown going. That spawned one of the most exciting moments of Baltimore’s regular season.

If you’re a Ravens fan (and we’re assuming you are), we hope you’ve seen the players on the road recently and that Lamar Jackson is finally shaking off all the rust. Baltimore can’t expect to win if they repeat what we saw from their two-time MVP.
This is a must-win game and another inconsistent performance will undoubtedly result in a loss, perhaps, putting the final nail in the coffin of what should have been a promising 30th anniversary season.
