Recent comments from Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha once again highlight the growing respect for Barcelona’s style of football across Europe.
Vitinha is currently enjoying the best period of his career at Paris Saint-Germain. At just 25 years old, the Portugal international has firmly established himself as PSG’s midfield playmaker and creative engine.

Speaking to Portuguese newspaper A Bola (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Vitinha reflected on the style of football that continues to inspire him.
“With Joao (Neves) – his team-mate in the PSG midfield – I like to put the ball at our feet and be creative and play like we did when we were kids,” he said.
Praise for the Barcelona duo

“People will always look at players like Lamine Yamar, Dembélé or Pedri. Because of players like them, people will always go to stadiums and watch football matches because they offer something that looks beautiful.”

“It would be great if Joao and I end our careers at the same level as Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.” he said.
