Potential offensive line coach takes different job, not going to MSU

He’s now tasked with building out his first coaching staff in East Lansing after hiring Pat Fitzgerald. With the Spartans boss having been out of the sport for three years, the men his staff will have to accommodate aren’t as cut and dry as usual.

One candidate that makes a lot of sense for the Spartans to add is Kurt Anderson as the team’s offensive line coach. Anderson served as the school’s offensive line coach at Northwestern University from 2018 to 2024. He spent the past year at UMass and is a leading prospect at Michigan State.

That will no longer be the case, though, with Anderson serving as offensive line coach with Bill O’Brien’s staff at Boston College.
