Man charged after rape investigation at Lancaster County hotel, ICE detainer

STRASBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Lancaster County police have arrested a man following a rape investigation at a local hotel.

Strasbourg Borough Police said Jose L. Izquierdo-Sanchez of Cardenas, Mexico, was arrested following the Dec. 11 incident at the Clarion Inn on Historic Avenue.

Isquierdo-Sanchez, 34, faces two counts of rape-forcible imposition, as well as charges of felony strangulation, sexual assault and gross indecency without consent.

Izquierdo-Sanchez is being held without bail at the Lancaster County Jail on serious charges, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention and lack of ties to the community, according to court records.

Izquierdo-Sanchez is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 23.
