The Buffalo Bills have a new head coach, finally promoting offensive coordinator Joe Brady to lead the team’s era, and the team will officially open the doors to its new home in 2026. As with any move made by One Bills Drive, the team’s fans have had plenty of opinions about President of Football Operations/General Manager Brandon Beane’s internal hiring decisions.
Most fans know that quarterback Josh Allen was involved in the team’s search for a new head coach, reportedly participating in every interview. Bills Mafia also knows that the atmosphere in the locker room after Buffalo lost another playoff game to an AFC West team in heartbreaking fashion fueled the search.

We hope to hear more from you, Rumblers. How do you feel about this move considering his relationship with former head coach Sean McDermott? Does One Bills Drive achieve that, or have they fallen victim to familiarity? From a 30,000-foot perspective, Brady has had tremendous success in Buffalo.
Clearly, the Bills are familiar with Brady. Brady was hired in 2022 to serve as the team’s quarterbacks coach under offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and has a good relationship with quarterback Josh Allen. After Dorsey was fired, Brady was promoted to interim offensive coordinator ahead of the Week 11 game against the New York Jets. Brady’s offense shined in OC’s first game, winning 32-6 at home. Brady was officially hired as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator starting with the 2024 NFL season, and he never looked back.
In his first full season as offensive coordinator, Brady directed a system that allowed quarterback Josh Allen to win Associated Press The NFL MVP honors his efforts during the 2024 campaign. The offense under Brady in 2024 ranks second in points per game, first in yards per game, and ninth in passing and rushing yards per game.
Since then, Brady’s system has finished the 2025 season ranked fourth in points per game and yards per game, 15th in passing yards per game, and first in rushing yards per game.

Running back James Cook III led the NFL in rushing yards and scored 12 touchdowns while being named to the All-Pro second team, while Allen fell one shy of 40 touchdowns despite less than ideal space at wide receiver.
