The suspect detained in connection with the Brown University shooting is reportedly a 24-year-old man training with the U.S. Army.
CNN – citing multiple law enforcement sources – has identified the person of interest as Benjamin Erickson … The man is from Wisconsin and served in the military from 2021 to 2024, according to his LinkedIn profile, which has since been deleted.

Erickson reportedly passed sniper training, engaged in firearms instruction, and eventually left the military after achieving the rank of “expert.”
A U.S. Army spokesman told the outlet he was never deployed… His social media shows he served at Arlington National Cemetery.

As you know…a person of interest was brought in custody He was reportedly found with two guns at a hotel in Rhode Island on Sunday morning.
POI took custody of the suspect after authorities released video of him fleeing the scene… wearing all black, swerving around a corner with his head down.
