Police investigate incident at JD Vance’s Cincinnati home. 1 in custody

A suspect was taken into custody following an incident at the home of Vice President JD Vance on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at Vance’s house on William Howard Taft Avenue East in Walnut Hills.

Cincinnati police dispatchers said the U.S. Secret Service called police at 12:15 a.m. on January 5 after seeing someone “running eastbound.”

Dispatchers could not provide further details, but police did arrest a suspect.

Police did not say who was in the home at the time. Roads around the house were closed for several days around New Year’s Day. Those closures last until Sunday afternoon, according to Cincinnati officials. The closing usually takes place when the vice president or his family is at the official residence.
