Manchester United career
The goalkeeper will join Manchester United from the Seattle Reign in 2023.
She was originally Mary Earps’ understudy, but when Earps left in the summer of 2024, the American was asked to replace the club’s big man.
Tallis-Joyce has done what was asked of her and, in fact, more. She has transformed herself into one of the best goalies in the league, displaying poise and incredible athleticism.
Her importance to the team was evident in the fall, when she missed some games due to injury and the defense completely lost its famous rigidity.
Player of the month
“Congratulations to Manchester United goalkeeper Fallon Tulis-Joyce, who is our Women’s Player of the Month for January,” the club’s website announced yesterday.

She has kept three clean sheets in four games and was impressive in United’s 0-0 league draw with Arsenal at the start of the new year. Tullis-Joyce received 33% of the vote, but Elisabeth Terland received only 31%.
The Norwegian scored crucial goals in the Carabao Cup semi-finals against Arsenal and the Women’s Super League against Aston Villa.
Tullis-Joyce has won the award twice previously, in December 2024 and April 2025.
She was also named Women’s Player of the Year last season.
The American will feature for Manchester United later this afternoon when they take on arch-rivals Liverpool at the Progressive Unity Stadium.
