Two New England Patriots have been selected to the 2026 Pro Bowl.
The NFL announced that quarterback Derek Meyer and cornerback Christian Gonzalez received calls Wednesday morning.
Meyer, 23, joins Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers on the AFC quarterback depth chart. So far in a 12-3 postseason season, the second-year captain has completed 321 of 453 passes for 3,947 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He threw for a career-high 380 yards through the air, ranked first in the league with a 70.9 completion percentage and third in the league with a 108.5 passer rating.

As a rusher, Meyer gained another 387 yards and four touchdowns. The former North Carolina Tar Heel was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and previously served as a Pro Bowl alternate.
Gonzalez, 23, joins Derrick Stingley Jr. of the Houston Texans, Pat Surtain II of the Denver Broncos and Denzel Ward of the Cleveland Browns in the AFC cornerback room. He has made 12 starts and played 692 defensive snaps since returning from a hamstring injury in the final game in September. There were 61 tackles and 10 passes defended along the way.
Gonzalez was named to the 2024 All-Pro Second Team, marking Gonzalez’s first Pro Bowl selection as a 32-year-old starter in Foxborough. The No. 17 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has had one sack, three interceptions and a 63-yard touchdown during his tenure at Colorado State and Oregon State.
A unanimous vote from fans, players and coaches determined the selection. This year, versatile Patriots quarterback, punt returner and team captain Marcus Jones found himself glaringly omitted and re-signed with the team after earning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week and AFC Defensive Player of the Month honors.

The 2026 Pro Bowl will take place on Tuesday, February 3, in the South Building of San Francisco’s Moscone Center, with kickoff at 8:00 pm ET, immediately following Super Bowl X. Pro Football Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Steve Young will serve as coaches in the NFC and AFC, respectively.
Until then, Pro Bowl inductees will wear a silver trophy decal on the back of their helmets and be named team captains for Week 17 games and the remainder of the season.
