Panicked Hannity Fails to Bait Anti-ICE Protester in Live Interview

Sean Hannity is disappointed that his attempt to embarrass anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis failed miserably.

on friday night’s show Hannity On Fox News, the MAGA host directed reporter Garrett Tenney to talk to a protester at an anti-ICE march on the streets of Minneapolis.

“Can you speak to the people who are marching right now and ask them what they’re marching for?” Hannity said as his reporters on the ground paced a sidewalk parallel to the demonstrations.

The city’s downtown was filled with hundreds of protesters on Wednesday after 37-year-old mother Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed by ICE agent Jonathan Ross.

After Tenney described the demonstration as “a DIY marching band carrying pots and pans through the city,” Hannity prompted a reporter to speak to a local protester and ask them why they were marching.

Tenney posed the question to a protester in front of him, hoping to stir up some tension, but received a blunt answer.

“I’m just here because I think what ICE is doing here is absolutely disgusting,” the protester said. “I think it’s absolutely abhorrent that they’re kidnapping people. I’m disgusted that they’re murdering innocent people. The whole thing is absolutely disgusting to me – it has to stop immediately.”

“I’m glad so many people are trying to stop this behavior because it’s abhorrent,” he added.

Later, at Hannity’s request, Taney asked protesters what he thought about the circulating video of the shooting, repeating the government’s claim that Goode intended to hit police officers with her car.

“When you see this video,” Tenney asked. “Are you concerned that this woman may have been driving her vehicle at police officers?”

“That’s not the case at all in my opinion,” the protester responded. “And, I mean, even if you do think that’s the case – and it’s not – we should be training officers to be responsible in situations like this and to judge the situation objectively and look at it rationally. It makes absolutely no sense.”

“Watching this video from two angles — and I know there was another video released earlier today from a different angle — you can see very clearly that she was evacuating the scene,” continued the protester, whose name Tenney did not know. “There is absolutely no evidence that anyone attempted to drive a vehicle into a police officer.”

Tenney was then asked again by Hannity’s disgruntled voice about what the protesters thought about people living here illegally, to which the man responded: “Frankly, they have a right to be here.”

“That’s just my opinion,” he added. “A fundamental human right is freedom of movement. We recognize this in the Charter of the United Nations.”

The protester ended the interview with a smile and showed off his tool of choice: a bell he got from “someone who handed out free stuff.”

Hannity exited the live video, saying in frustration: “We are a country of laws, a constitutional republic. If you want to come into this country, come in legally.”

This isn’t the first time the show’s Trump-loving host has been embarrassed by a segment that went off the rails.

In November, Hannity was in a conversation with liberal radio host Stephanie Miller about mocking a virally edited photo of her kissing Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s shoes, but she soon found herself on the defensive as Miller accused Fox News of a lack of coverage of the Epstein dossier.

“You know the most interesting thing about this story is everything in Trump’s Epstein dossier, and I wonder if they’re going to release it after this bombshell!” she said after the House Oversight Committee released more than 20,000 documents related to the investigation of notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “I didn’t see anything about that on Fox News today.”

The two argued back and forth, with Miller gaining the upper hand while Hannity struggled to defend evidence of Trump’s alleged mental decline.
