Curling has become one of the most anticipated events at the Winter Olympics. While mixed doubles curling begins even before the 2026 opening ceremony, the men’s competition won’t begin until after the mixed doubles event.

The men’s curling draw will begin on Wednesday, February 11 and run through the gold medal game on Saturday, February 21. Sweden enters the Olympics as the defending gold medal champions. They dominated the 2022 Beijing competition and won the gold medal with 9 wins and 2 losses in 11 games. Sweden won a close gold medal match, edging Great Britain 5-4. In the bronze medal match, Canada defeated the United States 8-5.

How does Olympic curling work?

Each team will play a round robin from February 11 to February 19. The top four teams after the round robin will advance to the semi-finals. If there is a tiebreaker, it will be decided first based on the result of the head-to-head match between the tied teams.
