Nvidia GeForce Now Cloud Gaming Service for Streaming AAA Games Coming to India This Year

Nvidia has launched several gaming-centric products such as the GeForce RTX 50 Series Blackwell GPUs at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, hinting at the company’s grand plans to invest in gaming this year. The company’s latest announcement is to build a GeForce RTX-powered data center in India, making it easier for gamers around the world to play games. Thanks to this move, the company will bring its GeForce Now cloud gaming service to the country later this year.

Nvidia GeForce now available in India

Nvidia detailed the data center buildout and arrival of its cloud game streaming service in a newsroom post. According to the company, GeForce Now will launch in India in the first half of 2025, and the first data centers will be powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPUs. With its arrival, gamers will be able to stream AAA games in the country without the need for top-notch hardware. The cloud service utilizes Nvidia GPUs in data centers to run games, which can be streamed directly to devices in real time. Therefore, it even opens up more avenues for gaming on devices such as smartphones or tablets.

In addition to India, the GeForce Now service will also be available in Latin America. It is worth noting that in addition to Colombia and Chile, the service was also launched in Japan last year. The company partners with Digevo to operate in the latter region.

While Nvidia GeForce Now is free with an ad-supported plan, gamers can choose between two membership levels – Performance Edition and Ultimate Edition. The Performance plan offers games running on GeForce RTX GPUs and eight-core CPUs, with short queue times, 1440p streaming, up to 6 hours per session length, and streaming at up to 60 fps.

The Ultimate plan, on the other hand, bundles more benefits such as 4K 240 fps streaming, sessions up to eight hours in length each, DLSS frame generation, Nvidia Reflex, Cloud G-Sync, and surround 5.1 and 7.1 sound. It features GeForce RTX 4080 GPU and 16-core CPU.

At CES 2025, the company also announced that it would be bringing native GeForce Now apps that were previously available in beta form to the Steam Deck this year. They can enjoy the same benefits as other device users through the GeForce Now Ultimate plan. Nvidia says the service can extend the battery life of the Steam Deck because it consumes less power.
