No. 24 Miami remains unbeaten after comeback win over UMass

The nationally ranked Miami Redhawks must come from behind to remain undefeated on Tuesday night.

The Redhawks overcame a double-digit deficit in Game 1 to beat UMass 86-84, extending their home winning streak to 27 games.

Eian Elmer scored a career-high 30 points for MU, which played without Luke Skaljac. He missed the game due to illness.

It was Miami’s first game at Miller Hall as a nationally ranked team.

The Redhawks improved to 21-0 overall and 9-0 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC).

MU is one of two remaining undefeated men’s college basketball teams in the country. Arizona beat BYU on Monday, but Nebraska suffered its first loss at Michigan on Tuesday.

The RedHawks next game will be against Northern Illinois on Saturday, January 31 at 3:30 p.m.
