Nintendo to Host a Second Kirby Air Riders Direct Presentation This Week

Nintendo is back this week with a direct look at its upcoming Switch 2 racing game, Kirby Sky Riders. The Kirby Sky Riders livestream will be broadcast on October 23 via the Nintendo YouTube channel. This will be Nintendo’s second dedicated direct reveal, following an in-depth look at Kirby Sky Riders in August.

Kirby Air Riders Direct announced

The second edition of the Kirby Air Riders Direct will be broadcast live on October 23 at 6 am PT (6:30 pm IST). The demo will last approximately 60 minutes and provide more details about the upcoming game. You can watch the presentation in the video embedded below when it goes live on Thursday.

Like the first Kirby Sky Rider Direct, this presentation will be hosted by director Masahiro Sakurai.

Sakurai hosted a hands-on demo of the racing game on August 19, where he shared an in-depth look at the game and delved into its features. The last Kirby Air Riders Direct was approximately 45 minutes long. During the demo, Sakurai detailed the game’s modes, characters, and aerial riding machines.

During the presentation, Nintendo also confirmed that Kirby Sky Riders will launch on Switch 2 on November 20, 2025.

Switch 2 exclusive game Kirby Sky Riders was unveiled during April’s Nintendo Direct event, which also gave a full look at the new console. The game is the sequel to Kirby Air Ride, released in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube. Kirby Air Riders, directed by Sakurai, the creator of Kirby and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, is an arcade racing game that allows players to drive different Air Ride machines.

The game will feature a cast of riders with unique abilities. This fast-paced racing game has simplified controls so players don’t have to press any buttons to speed up the Air Ride machine. Players control the direction of the vehicle and use buttons to activate abilities such as accelerated charges and special moves.
