According to recent reports, Gordon’s agent recently met with Bayern officials, and the German champions hope to advance negotiations with Gordon.

While there is optimism that personal terms can be agreed, the main sticking point is likely to be the transfer fee.
According to Bild’s head of football Christian Falk, Bayern are unlikely to meet Newcastle’s reported price tag of around €92 million.
A fee of around €70 million would be more manageable for Bayern, especially if the deal is structured as installments.
However, if Newcastle insist on their valuation and/or demand the full fee upfront, Bayern will struggle to complete the deal, potentially forcing them to look to other targets.
