The New Hartford Police Department is investigating the death of a 13-year-old girl, according to a statement from law enforcement.
At approximately 7:45 a.m. on January 28, the New Hartford Police Department and New Hartford Fire Department responded to an address on Seneca Turnpike for a report of an unresponsive female inside a residence.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel were providing assistance to a 13-year-old girl at her residence.

New Hartford police officials said the girl could not be revived despite help from emergency personnel.

“While members of the New Hartford Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division must complete a thorough investigation into this death, foul play or foul play of any kind is not suspected at this time,” New Hartford Police Department officials said in a statement.
The Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office also responded to the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
